I see now that at least some of your songs are not original. I will be doing a search on all songs you posted here that I have in storage, and if I can find a source that predates the time of your posting them, I will delete them. If you ever decide to post any songs here in the future, I will do a search on them to determine whether or not they are your own material, and if they are not, I will delete them.

Please share, therefore, what evidence you have that the gentleman's work is not original. Then give him the opportunity to show that the alleged similarities between his songs and those of some other person -- please say they're not identical -- is a coincidence. The truth will out. It isn't possible for me to send Lush a private message because I would have to migrate my profile to yuku to do that, and I don't want to do that right now. It seems that he, like Lucy has got some 'splainin' to do. He may perhaps 'splain that "why, I never claimed to be the actual author of the works!" (Did he?) Or he may choose not to 'splain, which is his right, and if so, I will choose to remember him always as nothing but an insignificant and despicable little thief. But then, I am absolutely certain that he can 'splain it to the satisfaction of me and every other fair minded American, be he red, white, or blue. Now I gotta go erase some of my old posts before you bust my ass too, Ethel. Good work, btw. Seriously.

It would hold true that he would be solicited by them and would accept, they all being of like mindedness and clone-like in their absense of character, integrity and honor. I doubt that they are in the least upset by his plagerism, in fact, he will probably be promoted in the Kabal, and given their highest award, The Medal of Dishonor, for his actions. r.

It really disrupted the forum over there. I can't imagine that they would be very happy with him over there right now. But if he did start posting again (over there or even here), what would he have to say? All of his stuff was really from other people, and I don't think he's ever going to be able to post anywhere without having his posts carefully scrutinized, there and here.

Socio-political differences, personal beliefs, and opinions are acceptable but when someone posts an insult to those whose beliefs and opinions are different, I just felt it wasn't what the forum was about. It was the music, friendship, and sometimes the gatherings and food that made us what we were/are and somehow the insults just didn't seem compatible. That said.... I harbor no ill will toward Lush. I would never suggest or even think that he should be banned. Ironically, if my memory serves me correctly, he was one of a very few who was in favor of banning some other forumites about a year ago. Lush! If you happen to read this..... know that I pass no judgement on or about you and should you decide to return, let's keep it friendly. I sincerely hope that you are well and all the madness surrounding your posts will soon blow over. Giving is a good thing but forgiving is a wonderful thing. Oh..... Ethel would you scan all my posts and be sure to can anything that may have been written by someone before me? While you're at it please disregard anything I've said that sounds like the rambling of an aging medicated smartass.

Especially if they are plagiarized from a copyrighted source. In the case of what Lush was doing, there are two problems that arise for me. One, he was plagiarizing copyrighted material (quite regularly, not just occasionally). This creates a serious liability problem for me, legally, as the person who technically owns this forum. I don't need those kinds of problems, quite frankly. The second problem for me, even with stuff that isn't necessarily copyrighted (although pretty much everything in forums and blogs is technically copyrighted) is that I really don't have time to do the cleanup work around here when hoards of really, really pissed off people inundate the forum demanding deletion of their stuff that someone has ripped off every day for the last four years, which could easily have happened had the Dave Barry commentators done a Google search on their own material while Lush was still posting here. These are headaches I just don't need. If Lush would ever decide to post here again, I will have to monitor his posts very carefully. I will have to do a google search on every single thing he posts, because even his little pithy comments about things are, more often than not, plagiarized from other sources. If he wanted to come here and just be himself and not mislead us in the way he has consistantly so far, I would be willing to give him a chance. But if I found that he was posting stolen material again, I think I would have to take the problem to ezboard, and let them sort him out.

Odd that he hasn't roared in here like an indignant George Brett accused (wrongly) of homering with a corked bat. There's surely an explanation for all this beyond simple thievery. There just has to be. He will tell us, in time, what it is.

I would agree to reopen the case assuming he came forward and explained all within a reasonable time. "All" means all counts of the indictment, including those leveled at the Dave Barry blog to which Ethel links above. There certainly are a lot of them. Counts, I mean.
